Global warming in Central Uganda, driven by human activities like burning fossil fuels, leads to an increase in Earth’s average temperature. This, in turn, causes shifts in weather patterns, rising sea levels, and more frequent extreme events. These changes collectively constitute climate change in Kampala, impacting ecosystems, economies, and societies worldwide.
Carbon emissions in Uganda are a global concern due to their profound impact on Earth’s climate system. Released by burning fossil fuels and deforestation, they trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and sea-level rise. This disrupts ecosystems, threatens biodiversity, and endangers human livelihoods. Additionally, carbon emissions in Kampala contribute to ocean acidification, further jeopardizing marine life. Addressing this issue is crucial for a sustainable future, necessitating collective international efforts and innovative solutions.
